It’s not my fault, that’s not my responsibility, I don’t care about those people, I’m minding my own business, that’s not my job, let somebody else do it, don’t want to help nobody, stingy - indifference.
We all have our moments, but it shouldn’t be a lifestyle, a point of reference, your existence, your life philosophy.
In Revelation 3:15-16, it tells us how Jesus feels about indifference. Both hot and cold water have some potency, but lukewarm water (indifference) is said to be worthless and should be spit out because if causes sickness.
In my opinion indifference is a wall of defense, someone hurt you, you decide to stand still emotionally. I get it - but lingering in indifference will not solve your problems. But, it will convince you that it's safe to stay where you are, afraid to trust, to love, to even try.
Indifference is a matter of the heart that should be dealt with and resolved quickly so you can move on and live a full life.
If you seem to be stuck in your emotions, stuck in one place and everyday looks like the last. Maybe your heart has grown bitter or indifferent and is in need of God's healing.
God is there to listen, even when you don't want to speak. In God's reverence and revelation you will eventually discover that all things do work together for His good (Romans 8:28) and that the answer to your bitterness and indifference is to trust God, love Him and praise Him for what He has already done and what He has promised to do - to love you (yes you) which is more than sufficient to heal your heart.
